A design exhibition featuring functional works by Detroit-based artists and designers exploring the pivotal art historical technique of contrasting light and dark to achieve a sense of volume, depth and dimension in compositions. Through the pairing of objects that reflect the concept of chiaroscuro, NEXT:SPACE presents a world emboldened by striking contrasts and reflects on the power of balance in creating meaningful spaces. Exhibition runs through May 11, 2019.
Spring has sprung and we are celebrating la vie en rose … blue, emerald and orange with a special collection of bright, bespoke furniture, lighting and objects from our favorite studio designers. Discover the symbolism of each color and the energy with which it transforms your space.
For Detroit Month of Design 2019, NEXT:SPACE examines the life cycle of industry and technology in shaping design. Presenting bespoke furniture, lighting, textiles and objects produced in the studios of independent designers and small scale fabrication shops, ‘Modern Times’, reflects on the beauty as well as the waste of industry and our responsibility to support sustainable ways of manufacturing. Exhibition runs through October 4th.
Bringing friends and family together, dinner parties are one of the most intimate social experiences shaped by design. Beyond the cuisine, dinner parties are about tables and chairs, linens and flatware and, most importantly, the people with which we share the experience. To celebrate, NEXT:SPACE transforms the gallery into a dining room of bespoke furniture, textiles and tableware thoughtfully designed and crafted by our favorite Detroit designers.
Introducing bespoke lighting from a curated group of Detroit designers. From chandeliers to sconces to table lamps, each lighting concept represents a unique collection from each designer. Illuminate your spaces with forward thinking design - and we cannot think of a better way to brighten up a dreary month.

Our showroom re-opens with the eponymous zuckerhosen exhibition, debuting the first collection from the experimental studio art and design duo.
Featuring bespoke, one-of-a-kind, seating, tables, lighting and wall pieces, the zuckerhosen Solo Exhibition, presents 'modern partial artifacts'. Through the experimentation of materials including steel, clay, glass, wood, leather, gold and metal leaf, the provoking forms of zuckerhosen simultaneously recall feelings of the familiar and unknown. Viewing and contemplating each ethereal object, the collector transforms into an archeologist, feeling as though artifacts from a lost culture have been unearthed - their intended use and meaning somehow obscured.
